Happy Easter!

The kids were well-behaved at 8 a.m. Mass this morning (and Easter miracle!), so we came home to find that the Easter Bunny had hidden eggs all over the playroom. Kaitlyn raced around the room snatching up eggs, but Claire found her fair share with a little help. Even Jack got two eggs. We have enough candy in the kids baskets to last a month, though it will probably be gone within the week! Happy Easter!

Food = Good

Doesn't it sound like he says, "Thank you," after I ask him if it's good bacon?!

Feels Like Spring

Kaitlyn has been begging to go out and play hopscotch--just like Curious George! The rain has been foiling our plans all week, but this morning we managed to get out for a little hopping around before the drops starting falling. And we even have a few pretty flowers to show for all of these April showers.

Easter Egg Hunt

We had a great time at our Easter egg hunt at our friend Harrison's house today! Jelly beans, bunny cake, dozens of candy-filled eggs, and a few marshmallow Peeps (which our girls requested at once!) The kids cleaned up so nicely that we had to get a few shots.

Kids Looking Cute

Snapshots from here, there, and everywhere.

Yea for Grandparents!

We had a good little run of grandparents visiting for the girls' birthdays. First Grandma and Grandpa Kneen were here to join in the birthday celebrations with friends and family. We partied, we ate cake (and more cake), we made puzzles, we read stories, we built Legos, we painted the basement (by "we," I mean Matt and Dad)...and then we all passed out, exhausted! It was a great visit.

Then, two days later, Grandma Hartings arrived. I took a couple hours off to get a haircut and work on my writing while she played princesses, baked cookies, and read stories (and more stories). The highlight for Kaitlyn was having a tea party with my porcelain tea set. They had three over the course of the weekend, so Grandpa could be invited on Saturday.

How much am I loving living closer to the grandparents? SO MUCH!!
