Let It Snow!

We got our first real snowfall on Tuesday, and the girls were delighted (including me!) Kaitlyn and Claire donned their snow boots for the first time, and though there wasn't enough white stuff for snow angels, Kaitlyn did make a few good snowballs to throw. Claire just shuffled through it with a little smile on her face.

Later, we had our neighbors over to make sugar cookies. We went through two batches of icing and a few hundred sprinkles--and we had a great time doing it! The day ended with a trip to Great Seneca Park to see Christmas lights. It took 45 minutes to drive through to see them all, and the girls entertained us with exclamations ("It's Rudolph!" "It's Pooh!" "House! House! Santa's house!") and carols the whole time.

It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas

It's festive around here! We thought about cutting down a tree, but alas, the trees looked nicer at The Home Depot. Cheaper, too! Now that's it's all trimmed, it really is a happy little tree. And we're a happy little family. We can't wait to spread good cheer with family and friends next week!

Thanksgiving ...now Christmas!

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving in Ohio with Matt's family. We ate two turkey dinners. We heard about Wendy's European adventures. We baked, iced and sprinkled five dozen sugar cookies (and two little girls!). We cheered the Buckeyes on to victory. We cut down and decorated the perfect Christmas tree. But mostly we played, played, and played some more with Grandma, Papa, Jo, Kyle, Tommy and Adrienne. (I also got in a few, rare moments of peace and quiet, for which I give many thanks!)

Looking Cute

Kaitlyn was in the mood to dress up for preschool today, so we put everyone in their finery and got out the camera. Claire is wearing a very special outfit--a corduroy gingerbread jumper that my grandma made for me when I was little!

Pose, Please!

Jack is getting bigger by the day (he's already wearing 9-month clothing at 3.5 months!). He's also making more and more faces each day. A smile, a smirk, an "are you serious?" stare. We haven't quite mastered the Magnum, but we're working up to it. Honestly, isn't this child "really, really good-looking"?!

Jumping in the Leaves

Could there be a more quintessential fall activity than jumping in the leaves? I think not. The girls had a fabulous time frolicking in the leaves--just look at those smiles!

Turkey Time!

The girls and I have switched gears...it's time for Thanksgiving crafts. Today's activity--turkey hats! The girls had fun making a gluey mess, and with a little help (okay, at times, a lot of help!) the final creations turned out really cute. Almost as cute as our girls!
