Come autumn, I just can't seem to get enough fresh apples. So early Saturda

y morning, the girls and I headed up to Oak Glen with our good friend Jill to pick the finest apples in the region...or so we thought! It turns out that it's been bad year for apples, and so there were none left on the trees. Fortunately, there were plenty to buy, as well as sinfully delicious mini doughnuts straight out of the fryer, u-pick pumpkins still on the vine, and fresh-pressed cider. When we got home, we helped Matt and Alex make homemade ravioli before sitting down to a fabulous fall feast. Kaitlyn had such a great time, she told me at bedtime

that we were going to pick Jill up the next morning to do it all again!
